If you want to learn the basics of HTML, I highly recommend W3Schools! Thats what I'm doing so far. I also take notes as I go to show how to use the code instead of just reading. It really helps with my learning.
I have a tumblr where I post all the ephemera I collect and archive.
This is a link to my main Tumblr!
I recommend checking it out if you love ephemera. I also have a decent amount of train related things since I am an intern archivist at the National Railroad Museum. Funny enough, I didn't know anything about trains until I started working there. I just wanted to be an archivist... Not anymore, at least, not for a career. I just do it for the pure love of it now.
Coding is so fun, isn't? I've wanted a website for so long. Yet, never made one. I decided to put my foot down and start learning the basics, at the very least! Life is short, I should have fun.
Crazy, I can do both! I've never actually had a presence online. I never wanted one and still don't to a degree. The only social media I have is Tumblr (which I never go on except to post my ephemera), reddit for browsing questions, and YouTube? If that counts. I haven't been on any major social media since middle school and I never intend to go back, lol.
I think I'm gonna start with making an archive for all my ephemera because I actually have content for that and it seems easier to build in a linear timeline. I will make a website for my OC's someday... All my OC lore is in my head.
